I just finished watching Ongezellig, a Dutch cartoon that I thought was just a simple slice of life but it turned out to have a deep meaning.
What I learned from it is that sometimes you don't have to be "happy" or "sociable" to say you're okay. It's normal to get tired of people, expectations, and yourself.
Like Maya, there are days when you just want to be alone but that doesn't mean you don't deserve to be loved or understood.
And I like MyMy, she's chaotic but real, the type who's not afraid to tell the truth even if it's harsh at times.
It's just a shame that she wasn't popular and was discontinued, maybe because it's a Dutch cartoon so the audience is a bit limited.

It's demotivating as hell, and it's messing with my drive to do anything, she has completely burned my brain. All the scenes she's portrayed in, when shes daydreaming and lets her hair down imagining a different world, it makes me feel like I'm seeing the real her, the part she keeps hidden from everyone else. I do like the concept, but it also suffers from bad initial pacing and overexplaining. Also it was assisted with AI and it kinda shows in some parts, but it didn't hinder how I felt about it. Pretty decent, but it could be better

Everything feels forced, and I just don't care about any of the characters. Some things of note:

>From the few 3rd Party plugins we do know he uses (Sonatina Orchestra, Synth1, M-Box), they all seem to be hosted on "PLUGINS 4 FREE" (https://plugins4free.com/) when searching them up. So it may be possible that's where Massa got most of his music plugins from.

This Google Sheets is here to document the sounds and instruments used in zellig's soundtrack.
And this thread is here for me to sperg and post findings since I'm sure it'd interest at least one of you to know what was used to make the music and audio of Ongezellig. So here it is.
I'll also probably post any project files for anyone who's interested in my recreations or wants to pitch in and post anything you might find interesting about zellig's sounds.

Some things of note:
>Massa seems to mostly use pre-built/default presets that came with FL Studio or whatever 3rd Party plugin he may happen to use. So that's something to keep in mind when looking for 'lig instruments.
>From the few 3rd Party plugins we do know he uses (Sonatina Orchestra, Synth1, M-Box), they all seem to be hosted on "PLUGINS 4 FREE" (https://plugins4free.com/) when searching them up. So it may be possible that's where Massa got most of his music plugins from.
As a bonus, here's a download link to all of Ongezellig's songs transcribed and turned into midis: https://files.catbox.moe/1tqko2.zip (If you happen to get a warning that this folder is full of computer viruses, it's not. They're not perfect, but it should be a decent start to anyone who wants to mess around with making covers/remixes/recreations of them.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Vera and Maya.
The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of dutch physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Vera's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into her characterisation - her personal philosophy draws heavily from Grunge Punk Music, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realize that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Vera and Maya truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Vera's signature move "na de les, mijn kantoor," which itself is a cryptic reference to Nirvana's Pacific-Northwest song come as you are I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated belgians scratching their heads in confusion as Alice In Chains's genius unfolds itself on their televisieschermen. What fritzls… how I pity them. 😂 And yes by the way, I DO have a Vera and Maya tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.

Why is Coco like that? I mean, all the zellig sisters are beautiful and charming, but she noticeably stands out with her authentic Dutch beauty. I'm not from the 4cuck to describe in detail the external features that are best not emphasized in women's appearance, so let's just acknowledge her superiority to the other sisters as an undeniable fact. So, haven't you noticed this striking contrast between Coco and Mymy? I mean, as a white racist, it was very speculative to notice. I suppose that in our community there has already formed a kind of fan perception of a (one-sided) rivalry between le evil Mymy and kind but unsuspecting Coco, in which the first envies the second for her Aryan origins and everything that follows from it, particularly her appearance.
